Swiss scenarist and author Denys Mathey, who wrote the two tomes of “The True Story”, didn’t believe he could meet Eva Joe, a young artist from Amiens, France, expert at colorizing and fond of his scenario!

In this first lesson of “The True Story”, twenty well-known figures have been put into comical situations in these short stories. Among them, you’ll find William Tell, Zorro, Nostradamus, Vercingétorix, Julius Caesar, Blackbeard, the Thief of Baghdad, Darwin, Hannibal and others.

Lesson #2, with 20 new characters, is planned for next year, until then you’ll soon be able to read our Retina-optimized reedition of the original, scribbled comic.
